Reinvention as Tradition: Transformations with Courage
Changes have many facets: externally triggered or from within, gradual or abrupt, reactive or active. The triggers can be technological, economic, regulatory, ecological, socio-cultural or personnel-related. Long-lived family businesses always manage to anticipate or even predict changes in good time and reinvent themselves. This ability to transform is deeply rooted in the DNA of many family businesses and enables them to remain successful across generations. But how is it possible not only to be driven by the constraints of the business or the environment, but also to preserve the core values and traditions as well as the commitment of the owner family?
At the 14th Forum for Family Businesses, family entrepreneurs will share their experiences of how they have initiated transformations in their own companies, steered them through rough times and guided them towards a clear vision. The Forum for Family Businesses offers an inspiring space to share experiences of your own transformations. The aim is to gain insights and give each other ideas for solutions – both for sustainable entrepreneurial success and for family cohesion.
In addition to this, Marie-Christine von Pezold, Director of FBN Switzerland will moderate a workshop on the topic of “Shaping the Future: Developing a Robust Ownership Strategy”.
